"Victoria amazonica" is one of the largest aquatic plants in the world. 💁 It is a species of flowering plant and the second largest plant in the "Nymphaeaceae" family of water lilies. It is native to the oxbow lakes of Guyana and the Amazon river basin in South America.

The striking feature of this Victoria amazonica plant is that it has very large leaves. They are called "pads" or "lily pads." This plant's flower buds begin to bloom as the sun begins to set and take forty-eight hours to fully open. The flower is white and fragrant when it blooms on the first night. On the second night, it turns pink and the smell gradually diminishes. A flower has a diameter of 40cm and can grow up to 1.6kg in weight. Also, scarab beetles help pollinate the flower.

Also, the leaves of this plant are round and uoright. It is supported by a ribbed underside and appears anchored to a submerged stem. Leaves are floating on the surface of the water. The stems of this leaf can be uo up to 26 feet long. The underside of the leaf is copper-red. There are also sharp spines on the stem and the underside of the leaves. This sheet is usually 6 inches long and 6 inches wide. Also, a full-grown lily pad can carry an adult weighing 60 to 70kg.

These flowers have also been used to cure diseases such as fever and insomnia.
